**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**

This position is concerned with developing an effective marketing services program through an integrated communications plan as outlined in the overall hotel marketing plan and thus uplifting the hotel's corporate image.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Planning**

a) Work in assessing hotel positioning to better market the hotel, and share an understanding of target customers.

b) Be involved in the revenue plan, so that goals for the year are clearly defined from a marketing perspective. Have input into setting the marketing budget for the year to allow for clear communication of promotions planned and the budgetary constraints.

c) Develop the marketing / public relation plan in accordance with revenue plan analysis and regular competitor checks.

d) Involved in regional objectives / plan. Communicate marketing activity to allow integration of hotel plans with regional priorities. Access opportunities to combine hotel promotions into a Regional promotion.

e) Participation in monthly revenue room meetings.

f) Has a pro-active approach in supporting F&B marketing.

g) Actively supports Sales with source market activities.

**Public Relations**

a) Maintain and uplift the image of the hotel to its key stakeholders through various public relations and corporate social responsibility activities according to the plan set by the hotel.

b) Manage media relations activities with local media, local and regional agency.

**Collateral/ Marketing Literature /Merchandising**

a) To ensure all collateral and marketing literatures produced for the hotel are of high standards and comply with Hotel identity guidelines.

b) Ensuring merchandising opportunities are maximized.

**Sponsorship & Partnerships**

a) Identify companies/organizations that fit with the Hotel and could represent a partnership opportunity. Maximize revenue through using preferred partners and developing sponsorship deals. Measure the return on investment from sponsorships and partnerships

**E-Commerce**

a) Maintain, update and regularly check for changes on brand websites.

b) Regular checks on third party websites/social media/ online directories to ensure compliance with brand.

d) Management of databases.

**Tactical Promotion**

a) Identifying and addressing hotels need periods through a variety of communication channels.

b) Measuring the return on investment for all campaigns and promotions.

**Advertising**

a) Plan and develop the hotel media plan.

b) Maintaining records and return on investment

**Style Guide**

a) For restaurants with a unique identity, a F&B style guide should be in place.

**Photography**

a) Keeping photography up to date and in line with brand guidelines.

b) Input to budgeting process for refreshed photography (2-3 years).

**Brand Policy**

a) Control of the brand and making sure that all items of collateral, merchandising advertising and back of house material are compliant with the brand standards.

Other Consideration

a) Is responsible for the training and development of the Marketing & Communications team.

b) Take care of hotel property (items for office use, machines and facilities).

c) To understand and strictly adhere to the rules and regulations established in the employee handbook.

d) To understand and strictly adhere to the hotel's policy on fire, hygiene, health & safety.

e) To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.

f) To provide a courteous and professional service at all times.

**Specifications**
- Possess degree in Marketing Communications, Public Relations or other related fields.
- Must have at least 2-3 years of working experience in similar capacity.
- Possess excellent media contacts.
- Has an excellent organizational and communicative skill.
- Possess leadership and team building qualities.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,400.00 per month
