Marketing Director

PURPOSE PERFORMANCE WEAR is a fast-growing performance apparel brand born in Singapore and expanding globally. Designed for triathletes, runners, and cyclists, our products combine innovation, comfort, and sustainability to help athletes perform in the world’s toughest conditions.

With operations across Southeast Asia, we are now looking for a Marketing Director to lead and drive our brand and growth. This role will be based in Petaling Jaya/Kuala Lumpur.

**Position Overview**:
The Marketing Director will be responsible for analysing, proposing, and executing campaigns to grow PURPOSE PERFORMANCE WEAR’s DTC revenue and reputation as the go-to brand for endurance athletes.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**1. Brand Strategy & Leadership**
- Define and drive Purpose’s brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity across markets.
- Lead brand storytelling and ensure consistent communication across all platforms.
- Oversee all creative and content direction, ensuring Purpose maintains its strong emotional connection with the endurance community.

**2. Marketing Planning & Execution**
- Develop and manage annual marketing plans and budgets to achieve brand and sales objectives.
- Lead go-to-market strategies for product launches and new markets.
- Analyze campaign performance and consumer insights to optimize marketing ROI.

**3. Digital & Performance Marketing**
- Drive online traffic and conversion through data-driven digital campaigns (Meta, Google, CRM, SEO, and partnerships).
- Manage Purpose’s e-commerce marketing strategy in collaboration with regional sales teams.
- Oversee social media presence, content, and influencer collaborations.

**4. Community & Partnerships**
- Build strong partnerships with endurance events, triathlon clubs, and athlete ambassadors.
- Develop Purpose’s community programs, pop-up events, and athlete engagement activities.
- Represent Purpose at industry events, conferences, and media opportunities.

**5. Team Leadership**
- Manage and mentor a team of marketers, designers, and content creators.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, and Operations to align marketing initiatives with business goals.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a mid-senior role, ideally within the sports, endurance, or outdoor apparel industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven success in building brands in Asia or global markets.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, branding, and community-driven marketing.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of managing creative teams and working with remote talents.
- A passion for endurance sports is highly desirable.
