**Position : Database Administrator**

**Salary : RM 4,000 - RM 7,000**

**Location : Damansara Uptown**

**Working Days / Time : 8.30am - 5.30pm**

**Job summary**

**Responsibility**
- Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS) such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL
- Monitor database performance and proactively address potential issues.
- Ensure database security, integrity, and availability by implementing and maintaining appropriate access controls and backup strategies.
- Perform regular database backups, restorations, and disaster recovery testing.
- Optimize database performance through tuning queries, indexes, and configurations.
- Design, develop, and maintain database schemas, tables, views, triggers, and stored procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for database configurations, processes, and policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and service requests.

**Requirement**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in database administration or similar role with at least 2 years of hands-on experience.
- Proficiency with one or more database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with replication, clustering, and failover strategies.
- Strong knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with database design principles and data modelling concepts.
- Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL).
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds, Redgate, Nagios).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
