**About The Role**

As an **Accounts Payable Specialist** in our brand-new **Regional Hub / Shared Services Centre (SSC)** in Kuala Lumpur, you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in managing and processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records within the Shared Service Center. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

**Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to**:

- **Invoice Processing**: Review, verify, and process invoices for payment in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- **Payment Management**: Prepare and execute payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- **Vendor Relations**: Communicate with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and respond to inquiries.
- **Reconciliation**: Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- **Reporting**: Generate and analyze accounts payable reports to support financial planning and decision-making.
- **Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.

In this role you will be collaborating with various stakeholders across the business including our Accounting / Finance function teams in Netherlands & other parts of the world.

Our Regional Hub supports a hybrid working approach. You will be supporting markets in multiple time zones and some flexibility around working hours will be needed.

You will be joining a newly formed Shared Services Centre team, with opportunities to grow, within Accounting or wider Finance functions.

**About You**

**_ To be successful in this role you will have:_**
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in full set accounts
- Familiarity with either one of these accounting software: SAP / Oracle / Microsoft Dynamics or other similar software
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

**_Nice To Have_**
- Professional membership such as ACCA / CPA / CIMA would be a big plus point
- Regional exposure in past employment would be highly desirable, as this role requires the incumbent to deal with colleagues and stakeholders from not just Malaysia, but also Singapore, Australia, Netherlands, Germany etc

**_Language_**
- Good written and spoken English is essential
- A proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean and/or Thai as well as other Asian languages will be an added advantage, however not mandatory

**_Qualification / Education_**
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting or equivalent disciplines
