Data Transformation Specialist

**The Role**:
The new SEAM organization integrates Safety, Environment & Asset Management activities, with a broad geographical footprint, that will support Shell’s business & assets around the world.

The vision of SEAM is to provide capability across the spectrum of Safety, Environment and Asset Management with:

- shaping the future ways of working through introducing to the business new technology and news way of working, including e.g. digital, SBO, and real-time, data-driven, end-to-end optimization and risk management, but also global programmes like Human Performance Based Safety Philosophy.
- providing performance feedback driving disciplined execution to deliver reliable, predictable results
- helping the businesses build their improvement plans and provide support to execute them
- sustaining performance through strong core capabilities (internal, including SBO & contingent) through building expertise and a company-wide consistent approach

**_ The Data Transformation Specialist will be part of the VP TAO organization _**

The VP TAO will be accountable for maximizing integrated business value across the organization. Technical Asset Operations (TAO) is a key enabler for the accelerated delivery of Shell’s Asset Management System and will help us to reach our ultimate potential in Downstream Manufacturing, Integrated Gas and Upstream. TAO provides high quality and cost-competitive technical resources who are not physically present at site yet are an integral part of asset teams delivering value through end-to-end AMS work processes.

**_ Purpose & Accountabilities_**
- Ensure the data quality improvement projects are delivered as per the expectation of the business
- Work with various stakeholders involved in the project and ensure the dependencies are met on time
- Analyze the Data and provide insights, anomalies etc
- Provide innovative solution to the data quality problems reported and implement the identified solution using agile framework
- Understanding the potential for replicable, scalable solutions that aid data cleaning efforts and develop solutions accordingly
- Develops and recommends procedures and new ways of working to deliver quality Asset Data
- Coach the engineers on resolving complaints and issues timely & satisfactory, including managing stakeholder relationships with partner sites.
- Monitor the project/s progress and required reports are generated and presented to the Programme management team
- Should play a key role in Change & Engage - should coach the asset stakeholders to adapt to the new ways of working (where required)
- This position is an individual contributor role with expectation to deliver through collaborative partnership with others in the organization
- Expected to operate with limited supervision and take full ownership of the delivery
- Challenges include expectation and Ambition of the business to quickly provide replicable and scalable solution to the quality issues reported.

- Engage with Senior Stakeholders & Senior Engineers and Engineers in department like Maintenance, Reliability, Discipline, Operations, IM&IT, ORA, and Spares Management
- Teams working different shifts and in different locations

**_ Skills & Requirements_**
- Strong aptitude for Learner Mindset
- University Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, Electronics & communication, Electrical. Maintenance background would be preferred.
- Required 10+ yrs operational experience in engineering / technical jobs in at least one of the following areas:

- Experience in Plant Maintenance area within a Manufacturing or Upstream environment as an engineering user of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Inspection Management Systems (IMS), and Document Management Systems (DMS.)
- Should be digital Savvy and quick learner
- Ability to analyze data and bring insights
- Ability to quickly diagnose, profile data through use of existing or new tools
- Flexibility to move quickly across changing priorities and manage multiple Projects / Programmes
- Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions
- External lens and connectivity: able to understand how Shell can influence the external world and how Shell is influenced by the external world
- Ability to engage and effectively communicate at all levels inside and outside Shell and within different cultural settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to challenge and ability to build internal and external relationships based on trust and to integrate across multiple functions.
