This role involves overseeing the culinary operations for various events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale functions, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste.

**Working Environment**: Teaffani Central Kitchen, Glenmarie, Shah Alam.

**Working schedule**: 6 days/week, Flexible schedule. No Split shifts.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following;
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Menu Development**:Design and curate innovative Chinese cuisine menus tailored to the specific needs and preferences of our clients, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
- **Food Preparation and Cooking**: Prepare, cook, and present high-quality Western dishes, ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate served.
- **Event Coordination**: Collaborate with event planners and coordinators to seamlessly integrate culinary services into the overall event plan, ensuring timely delivery and service.
- **Quality Control**: Maintain rigorous standards of hygiene, safety, and food quality, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
- **Team Leadership**:Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment, and ensuring all team members are trained to deliver exceptional culinary experiences.
- **Budget Management**: Manage food costs and inventory, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency without compromising on quality.
- **Client Interaction**: Engage with clients to understand their vision and preferences, providing expert advice and ensuring their expectations are not only met but exceeded.
- **Trend Awareness**:Stay current with culinary trends and innovations within Western cuisine, continuously seeking ways to enhance and elevate our offerings.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Proven experience as a chef specializing in Chinese cuisine, preferably in a high-volume catering or event environment.
- **Education**:Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
- **Skills**:Strong culinary skills, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
- **Leadership**: Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in managing and developing a team.
- **Communication**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and staff.
- **Flexibility**: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
