Business Analysis Specialist I

You will collaborate with departments or teams to clarify and communicate business requirements, assuring products and services are aligned with business needs. An understanding of how IT affects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business processes and previous experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement is desirable, involving broad based information systems and utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change. You will report to IT Manager, Operations Front Line IT and based in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. **Key Responsibilities** - Coordinate implementations for QMS (ETQ Reliance) and MES (GE MES) in Asia Pacific - Lead small team of Business Analysts - Guide the Manufacturing and Quality team on best practices of business processes and usage of technologies. - Mentor technical teams and small team of BAs in a true global environment. - Translate business requirements and communicate the impact to the team. - Maintain business specifications and work with IT technical resources (internal and external) to complete the systems enhancements. - Complete functional testing for system enhancements - Follow up and work in collaboration with Development teams to maintain system customizations and integrations. - Develop testing plans to ensure system stability. - Maintain functional documentation. - Support minor user requests such as ad-hoc reports, data extraction, data analysis using Excel (can perform complex functions), Teams and PowerBI. - Lead or assist in power user and end-user training. - Participate in requirements gathering, configuration and process design sessions. - Manage supporting business process documentation, such as SOPs, work instructions, or process diagrams. - Develop knowledge of best practices, commonly used concepts/methods, and procedures for conducting business analysis. **Qualifications** - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, related discipline. - A minimum of 6-9 years of experience in the IT industry and understands large project implementation and global strategy. - Experience of software development, testing methodologies and technical support. - Experience managing global setups, services, and implementations. - High proficiency in English and Mandarin language. - Understanding of data management and data analysis. - Profound Technical understanding and Documentation skills, specifically of main analysis deliverables (business/functional/design requirements, use cases) **About us**: **PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD** **The PPG Way** Every single day at PPG: **We partner with customers to create mutual value.** **We are "One PPG" to the world.** **We trust our people every day, in every way.** **We make it happen.** **We run it like we own it.** **We do better today than yesterday - everyday.** Benefits will be discussed with you by your recruiter during the hiring process.
