Drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements such as service agreements with clients, vendor agreements, and ensuring adherence to statutory, regulatory, and internal corporate policies.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the express industry, including transportation laws, employment laws, data protection laws, etc.
- Representing the company in legal proceedings, such as negotiating settlements, defending against claims, and pursuing claims on behalf of the company.
- Providing strategic advice and guidance to the management team on legal issues related to the express industry, including risk management, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.
- Conducting legal research and staying up-to-date on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company’s operations.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with best practices.
- Managing external legal counsel as necessary, while ensuring that legal expenditures are managed effectively.
- Providing training and mentorship to junior legal staff, as well as staff in other regions, enhancing overall departmental competence.
- Supervising junior legal staff in the department, including task delegation, performance evaluations, and career development coaching.
- Acting as a liaison between the legal department and other departments, facilitating interdepartmental collaboration on legal matters.
- Ensuring proper filing and keeping track of all legal and statutory records, files, and agreements.
- Leading or participating in special projects or task forces as directed by management to explore legal and compliance improvements or initiatives.
- Any ad-hoc task which is required by the management.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree in Law, Legal or equivalent.
- At least 4 years relevant working experience either in practice or in-house (Experience in relevant legal areas such as corporate and commercial is preferred).
- Proficient in both spoken and written in Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese and English.
- Possesses in-depth knowledge of Malaysian laws and regulation.
- Able to work independently and under pressure.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professionalism and ethics.
- Able to meet tight deadlines with a strong sense of responsibility.

**Salary**: RM5,000.00 - RM7,500.00 per month

Schedule:
