Leads a high performing, customer centric team in APAC providing financial systems and reporting solutions to Boston Scientific APAC. Ensures superior level of data and system support to the business and maximizes operational efficiency.
As a Business process and BI lead s/he will support the business by bringing in depth knowledge and development skill of BI platform (Power BI or Tableau) to optimize reporting and planning process in finance area and guiding BI developer to generate purposeful and forward-looking standardized and streamlined process
**Key Responsibilities**
- Work closely with FP&A (both APAC HQ and local countries) (and occasionally with our internal customers) to capture the exact needs to achieve business goals effectively in the area of financial reporting and planning.
- Manage the stakeholders’ expectations by regular communication and successful BI related information sharing
- Influence and engage people in and outside of own organization to lead to successful communication with employees of all levels
- Build and lead a team for Business Intelligence in HUB by aligning with Sr. Manager HUB and ensure the followings;
- Investigate all existing dashboards in the company and data sources for further development
- Connect closely with the IT Enterprise Analytics under global and lead of Datahub project to find out better/future technical solution to leverage
- Guide BI developer to create professional BI reports to deliver the insightful information (KPIs, charts, etc.) based on the understanding of internal customers’ needs
- Engage the stakeholders (and occasionally internal customers) to drive successful Analytic dashboard launch campaigns
- Design and provide trainings of BI(PowerBI or Tableau) reports to regional and country FP&As and internal customers. Develop use case to improve usage for better/faster adaption of new reporting format
- Ensure that dashboard should add value more than information delivery to drive the business for sustainable growth
- Ensure BI dashboard should be comprehensively simple, easily readable, flexible to zoom-in and zoom-out from the top to reasonable bottom by customer and the report should deliver the key meaning for each customer
- Collaborate closely with FP&A team to improve report performance such as data accuracy, interactive, on time delivery, access speed and etc. Proactively recommend optimal solutions against technical risks and further enhancement
- Proactively identify the improvement opportunities and implement the solutions, challenging status quo for operational excellence, by aligning with stakeholders
- Co-ensures that team members are notified of all mandatory training and quality obligations. Tracks completion of mandatory training.
- Recruit, retain and develop the team members
**Requirements**:
- 8 years of progressive working experience in Finance area including at least 4 years of intensive development experience using BI(PowerBI or Tableau) platform.
- Min. 4 years of proven experience of accounting or FP&A
- Min. 4 years of experiences of using or operating the financial system (SAP, Hyperion, Concur, etc.)
- Experience in leading requirements gathering, design, build and test activities for system/non-system related project in Finance area
- Proven people leadership capability to build and manage a team by fostering a diverse workplace, being a role model to drive the Diversity and Inclusions
- Proven skills of stakeholder management in matrix organization
- Proven ability to work with a ‘sense of urgency’ to meet critical deadlines
- Proven track record of identifying improvement opportunities and implementation of the solutions, challenging status quo for operational excellence
- Advanced influential, collaboration and team working skills
- Strong project management skills including prioritization and time management
- Ability to work across different cultures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and multi-task with flexible and agile mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Degree in Business or mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science (or equivalent)
