Business Data Analyst

About the Role

The Data, Analytics & Reporting team is responsible for implementation of Data-Driven strategic initiatives. The team provides Analytics for most departments, including Finance, Sales, Marketing and Product/Content teams. We work directly with operational teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing tactical and strategic objectives.

**Responsibilities**:
Data is at the core of our business and we drive automation and self-service solutions wherever possible. This isn’t restricted to user solutions, but also includes our own development processes, which creates capacity within the team to develop new solutions and ideas.

**Requirements**:

- Exceptional business analysis and stakeholder management skills
- Analyse and interpret business needs and processes for both a business and technical audience
- Implement business and client-led initiatives into business insights tools
- Communicate technical findings, models, and insights to different technical and non-technical audiences
- Design and build robust analytical models and solutions to deliver actionable insight for business users.
- Experience working with the analysis of data from complex data sets and systems
- Experience with advanced analytics, business modelling, and optimisation, simulation modelling and statistical techniques
- Hands-on experience with a number of data manipulation tools and languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R)
- Experience gathering documenting, analysing data requirements and producing technical specification
- Strong SQL skills
- Strong working experience in Power BI
- Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence and advanced analytics
- Delivery of both tactical and strategic solutions to support the commercial objectives of the organisation
- Ability to deliver to strict deadlines
- Experience of working in Agile development teams, specifically SCRUM
- Design, test, and implement descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive studies using appropriate machine learning and data science techniques
- Experience in developing within MS Flow/Power Automate (Low/No-Code Dev)
- Experience in Data Governance or Master Data Management
