Public Relation Officer

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Public Relations Strategy & Execution**:
- Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance brand image and reputation.
- Oversee all external communications, including press releases, speeches, media kits, and social media content.
- Align PR campaigns with overall business goals and marketing strategies.
- **Media & Stakeholder Relations**:
- Build and maintain relationships with media personnel, journalists, and influencers.
- Act as the company spokesperson, handling press inquiries and media interviews.
- Organize press conferences, media briefings, and networking events.
- **Crisis & Reputation Management**:
- Develop crisis communication plans and respond promptly to media inquiries during crisis situations.
- Monitor public perception and implement strategies to mitigate negative publicity.
- **Content Creation & Brand Messaging**:
- Oversee the creation of engaging content for websites, press releases, blogs, and marketing materials.
- Ensure brand messaging is consistent across all communication channels.
- **Internal Communication & Leadership**:
- Collaborate with senior management and marketing teams to align PR strategies with business objectives.
- Provide media training to executives and key employees.
- Lead and mentor the PR team, ensuring continuous skill development.
- **Monitoring & Reporting**:
- Track PR campaign effectiveness using analytics tools.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on PR performance.
- Stay updated with industry trends, government regulations, and public sentiment in Malaysia.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- **Education**: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum **7-10 years** of experience in Public Relations, with at least **3 years in a managerial role**.
- **Industry Exposure**: Preferably from Corporate Communications, Media, FMCG, Technology, or Government Relations.

✔ **Strong Media Relations**: Established network with Malaysian media houses, journalists, and influencers.
✔ **Crisis Management Expertise**: Ability to handle public relations crises effectively.
✔ **Exceptional Communication**: Outstanding written and verbal communication in English and Malay.
✔ **Strategic Thinking**: Ability to craft long-term PR strategies aligning with business goals.
✔ **Leadership & Team Management**: Experience in leading PR teams and collaborating with executives.
✔ **Social Media & Digital PR**: Knowledge of digital communication trends and tools.
✔ **Legal & Regulatory Awareness**: Understanding of Malaysian laws related to media and corporate communications.
