**Overview**:

- Responsible to maintain and grow trade volume, revenue and market share
- Analyze market trends, market mapping and competitor’s activities
- Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies with Sales Manager and Commercial Director to promote assigned trade/region
- Trade liaison with Geneva on pricing, direction, space and yield management and budget achievement

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Capacity & Space management such as close monitoring on allocations given by MSC GVA -MSC RO. Updating prospects upon checking on market activities & branches performance and following GVA guideline either on revenue driven policy or volume driven policy.
- Require to having market and trade knowledge of the country for presentation to Geneva as and when needed
- Communicate with inter dept team on GVA Trade directions, strategies & goals to ensure Trade targets are met.
- Conduct internal trade training to all employees to have better understanding and knowledge when performing their day-to-day task
- Provide regular trade reports and updates to Geneva and management on trade performance, market conditions, and business opportunities.
- Close monitor of trade performance and proactive actions if necessary
- Proactively update Geneva of any new market developments and competition activities
- Assist to resolve trade and service issue, by coordinating with relevant stakeholders
- Manage all FOB activities, which includes liaising with POD agent on weekly prospect, space utilization and availability
- Monitoring of cargo selection and yield management to ensure healthy balance of high / low paying cargo for respective trades daily
- Conference call with GVA/ ARO to report and update on market activities
- Mentoring and providing guidance to Trade Coordinator for future career advancement
- Daily review of task performs and Ispace updates by Trade Coordinator
- Review Outstanding over dues by assigned clients frequently with Finance AR team and assist to expedite recoveries from overdue clients.
- Any ad hoc tasks assign by Commercial Director or Management

**Key Requirements**:

- Minimum Diploma in any discipline
- **Minimum 5 years of sales related function from shipping industry**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,500.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- shipping industry: 5 years (preferred)
