Esteemed clients such as Telekom Malaysia, PETRONAS, Tenaga Nasional Berhad, and Bank Negara turned to us for their daily operational essentials, ranging from laptops and projectors to office furniture, all conveniently accessible through our platform. In 2020, we took a bold stride forward, expanding our B2B platform's horizons to embrace Mom and Pop stores. These neighborhood shops now effortlessly procure their essential supplies, including popular items such as Milo, Nescafe, Red Bull, etc., through our user-friendly app and platform. As we stand today, Lapasar's FMCG Wholesale Segment is the cornerstone of our business and growth. Our vision is to usher in a transformative era for over 100,000 Mom and Pop Stores and restaurants across Malaysia. Through our Mobile App, we are dedicated to streamlining their daily stock procurement processes, ensuring that the experience mirrors the simplicity brought to the consumer E-commerce landscape. We are committed to empowering these enterprises and fostering their success in an increasingly digital world.
**Roles and responsibilities**:
- Sourcing for new suppliers on new and existing products
- Forecasting and planning to facilitate goods incoming adhering to turnover targets
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify optimum price points for selling and buying
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers to ensure a steady flow of trade budget in order to hit the sales agenda across multiple brands. Which includes running monthly business reviews with brands
- Negotiate favorable terms, contracts, and pricing agreements with suppliers while maintaining a focus on a long-term partnership.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels and minimize stockouts.
- Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Generate various promotion reports that provides clear direction to direct report to further enhance efficiencies and results
- Assist direct report to manage product hierarchy and moving products in the right direction in terms of growth on top and bottom line
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3 + years) as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist or Sales management and execution related role in FMCG Industry
- Mandarin speaking is an advantage
- In-depth knowledge of procurement strategies and execution
- Clear understanding of market dynamics and have prior experience of navigating different level of the supply chain
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of success in negotiating or selling
- Have previous experience in Working adjacent to a sales team or within a sales team, Is a huge plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in procurement processes and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
**Salary**: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
