The Quantity Surveyor / Cost Estimator’s task is to ensure consistent management of all proposals and contracts. This generally includes oversight of the contract management process, as well as development of specific standards for bidding and submission, contract negotiations and document management. They strive for an efficient use of the resources whilst keeping an eye on quality, quality standards, and client's requirements.

**Responsibilities**:
- Pre-Contract

Analysing requirement and preparation of the tender documents, drawings and project plans comprises of Bill of Quantity (BQ), tender clarification, proposed brand of equipment / materials, unit rates and etc.

All contracts and commercial matters in relation to Pre-qualification of tender

Take off quantity and prepare bill of quantity from the tender drawing

Call and prepare subcontractor’s quotation

Post-Contract

Prepare project budgeting and costing reports

Responsible in cost estimating, quantity take off, claims preparation, variation order and final accounts.

Prepare and submit quotation, monthly progress claim, VOs and project final account

Prepare for sub-contractor certificate of payment

General correspondences and contractual letters.

Attend site meetings, subcontractor meetings, site inspection when necessary

To coordinate, monitor and supervising the project team on project activity/site progress in accordance with the project requirements and ensure the delivery / completion of the project work. Conduct Inspection / Testing after work done as per project requirements.

To liaise, coordinate with the related party if any issue or discrepancy arises.

Prepare necessary paper work and project related documentation regarding construction site / activities (ie. Shop Drawings, Schedule, Material Plan, Work Method Statement, Inspection Plan, Form & Checklist, Progress Report, Operation & Maintenance Manual, etc...)

To comply and adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety & Health and. Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the company.

Perform any other contract duties assigned by superior

Communicate with authorities (Syabas, IWK, CIDB) and compile all the documents needed as per terms & conditions.

**Requirements**:
- Min Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. With experienced in construction industry (plumbing) will be priorities.

Familiar to read and understand the drawings or planning on sites is advantage

Technically strong in project cost planning, scheduling and reporting.

Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and meticulous

Possess good project background and technical writing ability and skills.

Independent worker who is able to work well with mínimal supervision.
