**Job Summary**
The Accounting Officer is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong financial acumen who can ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations while driving financial performance. The AO will lead a team of accounting professionals, manage financial reporting, and provide insights to support decision-making at the executive level.

**Responsibilities**
- **Maintaining Financial Records**:Keeping accurate records of financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, as well as general ledger entries.
- **Preparing Financial Statements**:Generating reports like balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to reflect the organization's financial position.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting**:Assisting in the development and management of budgets, and providing financial forecasts.
- **Reconciling Accounts**:Ensuring accuracy in financial records by comparing them to bank statements and other source documents.
- **Processing Invoices and Payments**:Handling the processing of incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring timely payments to vendors and collecting payments from customers.
- **Compliance and Audits**:Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws, and assisting with internal and external audits.
- **Financial Analysis**:Analyzing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, and providing insights to support decision-making.
- **Internal Controls**:Assessing and improving internal control systems to prevent fraud and ensure accuracy.
- **Communication and Collaboration**:Communicating with clients and other departments to gather financial information and resolve inquiries.

**Skills**
- Strong financial acumen with an in-depth understanding of general ledger accounting principles.
- Expertise in accounts receivable management and account analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations affecting corporate finance.
- Excellent financial report writing skills to convey complex information clearly.
- Understanding of wills, trusts, estate law as it pertains to financial planning.
- Ability to analyze debits and credits effectively to maintain accurate financial records.

This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional looking to make a significant impact within an organization while leading a dedicated team.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per year
