**Position Overview**:
As the Restaurant Manager / Restaurant Assistant Manager, you are required to oversee the daily operations of the restaurant. You will be responsible for managing the team, ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining high-quality food standards, and creating a positive dining experience for our guests and assisting the General Manager in achieving business objectives. Your leadership and organizational skills will contribute to the overall success and satisfaction of our employees and customer.
**Responsibilities**:
**1. Operational Management / Operational Support**
- Manage the daily operations of the restaurant including opening and closing procedures, inventory management and ensure a clean and organized environment.
- Assist the General Manager in restaurant operations, compliance with company policies, procedures and adhered with health & safety regulations.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Oversee menu planning, maintain high-quality standards in food preparation & presentation and ensure the staff provide good services.
- Monitor food and beverage cost, portion control and wastages & breakages reduction strategies.
- Monitor inventory, stock check, place orders and manage supplies to prevent any shortages or excesses. Conduct regular audit check.
- Assist in staff scheduling, ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
**2. Customer Service and Satisfactions**
- Interact with customers, address the concerns and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide training and monitor the customer service rendered by the staff, resolving complaints or issues and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collect feedback from the team and implement improvement to enhance the dining experience.
**3. Team Leadership and Development**
- Involve in recruiting, onboarding new employees, ensuring the staff receive proper training and familiar with the restaurants SOP.
- Provide clear direction, guidance and feedback to the team to optimize performance.
- Provide on going coaching and support to the staff, plans staff professional growth and development.
- Adopt a positive work culture that motivate teamwork.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate, staff engagement and address concerns.
- Conduct performance evaluation and take necessary disciplinary action when required.
**4. Budgeting and Financial Management**
- Assist in developing and managing restaurant budget including monitoring expenses, cost control and revenue to achieve targets.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to implement cost-control measure without compromising the quality.
- Deal with vendors and suppliers to negotiate in pricing, review contracts and maintain good working relationships.
- Assist in analysing financial reports and identifying areas to improve.
- Implement strategies to optimize profits and minimize cost while delivering high-quality food and service.
**5. Health and Safety Compliance**
- Enforce and maintain safety standards, sanitation protocols and health regulations to ensure a clean and safe environment for the staff and customers.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage and hygiene practice for food safety.
- Conduct regular inspections and implement correction actions as when necessary.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
**Requirement**:
- Minimum of 5 years experience progressively responsible in F&B leadership roles
- Possess relevant SPM, Diploma, professional qualifications or equivalent
- Have self-discipline, initiative, and proven leadership skills
- Good communication and presentation skills. Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
