We are looking for a Category Manager to drive our Luxury Bags business in Singapore.
This person is a data driven category specialist to drive growth for our Luxury Bags Category. This person should be attuned to the needs of our users and be able to break down and solve complex business problems.
This role will report to the Category Director.
You Will:
- Define the Luxury Bags category strategy. Undertake research and analyse data to deeply understand our category sellers and buyers and translate the insights to plans and communication.
- Grow the category in users and transactions, and generate revenue for the business. Work with stakeholders to set performance targets and ensure we are tracking and progressing to our plans. You will be responsible for P&L of this category.
- Conduct regular detailed analysis into search, browse behaviour, conversion funnels to identify possible areas of improvement of our product, marketing comms, operations and sales strategy
- Be involved in development of the product, marketing, sales and operations to deliver on targets. Work end to end to build up this business.
- Partner with product team to understand users needs to ensure we deliver a great user experience and that the needs of the category are addressed in roadmaps
- Partner with Marketing team to ensure that the category value propositions are communicated to our users to achieve business objectives
- Be responsible for defining and maintaining the category catalogue
- Execute experiments in collaboration with marketing or product teams to validate hypotheses and continually improve customer experience of these categories
- Build and maintain relationships/networks with relevant stakeholders in ways that help to deliver strategies/plans, and with smooth and timely delivery Report back to the wider business on category performance on a regular basis
**Qualifications**
- Possess 5 - 10 years of working experience in commercial business, marketing or data analytics. Working experience in the e-commerce industry is a plus.
- An entrepreneurial mindset; you enjoy building from scratch with limited resources. To make things happen by turning strategy to reality, you not afraid to dive into details or get your hands dirty and execute
- A proven analytical ability to use data to draw actionable insights and turn them into a coherent strategy
- To be able to communicate well through writing clear and succinct documents and also present case and points clearly; With well thought out recommendations and next steps
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You can rally team members towards a common goal, socialise plans and garner buy-in from stakeholders
- Independent self-starter with understanding of how to work within a startup environment. You are resilient and adaptable to changes and roadblocks, yet organised and detailed to manage complex parallel projects
- A strong passion for Luxury products and personal interest in getting involved in the Luxury Bags industry
- A Carousell user and/or familiar with using the Carousell app and its features
