**Responsibilities**:
- A) Job Responsibility
- 1. Conceptual and preliminary design of bulk material handling systems loading and unloading systems comprised of belt conveyors, drag chain conveyors, bucket elevators, dust control systems and various specialty equipment components.
- 2. Prepare quantity estimates related to industrial and bulk material handling systems.
- 3. Coordinate and direct drafters and designers in the creation of drawings.
- 4. Interface with Project Managers, Engineers and clients.
- 5. Assist Project Managers and design team with assembling the methodology for completing the project.
- 6. Review and check engineer's sketches and designs to ensure feasibility and compliance with client specifications, industry standards, applicable regulations and any other specification on a particular project.
- 7. Analyze designs for efficiency of construction, use of materials, functionality and practicality of design.
- 8. Check drawings and other documents, verify correctness of design and engineering data to verify completeness of the documents against clients requirement / standard.
- 9. Develop or alter standard project specifications to meet specific project requirements.
- 10. Create layouts and sketches for project systems.
- 11. Develop project design criteria documents.
- 12. Research, learn and implement differing design techniques which may be industry specific.
- 13. Develop technical details and specify materials, and procedures using drawings, rough sketches, specifications and calculations.
- 14. Assist in development of engineering proposals.
- 15. Further develop concepts established by sales personnel.
- 16. Assemble data and run in-house programs for build conveyor.
- 17. Review certain vendor/fabricator shop drawings.
- 18. Maintain project files.
- 19. Perform the necessary field work to obtain accurate information for the design.
- 20. Attend out of office and in office project meetings.
- 21. In some instances interface directly with Clients.
- 22. Perform maintenance on all equipment and thoroughly document all actions and repairs to include parts used and labour.
- 23. Be proficient in performing all Maintenance Inspection functions including cleaning, lubrication, tolerance checking, current measurements, checking electrical systems.
- 24. Responsible for cleanup of equipment and removal of replaced parts from work areas after repairs are completed.
- 25. Repairs and adjusts conveyor systems. Installs belts in machinery tighten bolts, adjusts tension rolls, straightens parts, aligns rollers, and replaces defective parts.
- 26. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of conveyor system maintenance works.
- 27. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to the Head of Department & suggest repair methods.
- 28. Plan and manage maintenance manpower, equipments, tools and consumables within budget and timeline.
- 29. Additional duties as assigned.
- B) Job Requirement
- 1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent. Preferably Mechanical degree.
- 2. A minimum of 5 years related conveyor technology experience.
- 3. Working knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred)
- 4. Microsoft Office products.
- 5. Willing to be mobilized to project site for work purpose.
- 6. Understands critical timelines and organizes work appropriately to support those needs.
- 7. Ability to maintain a good working relationship with clients, suppliers, and the internal support teams.
- 8. Capability in interacting and working with consultants, contractors and internal department.
- 9. Independent, self-motivated and results oriented.
- 10. Able to work on multiple requirements at the same time.
