**Job Summary**
- This role is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant workplace. It involves identifying and addressing potential hazards, creating safety programs, and providing training to employees. Additionally, it focuses on integrating sustainability and business continuity into the organization's overall strategy.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conducting inspections: Regularly assessing the workplace for hazards and ensuring compliance with EHS regulations
- Investigating incidents: Analysing accidents and near misses to prevent future occurrences.
- Promoting EHS awareness: Educating employees on safe work practices and regulations.
- Supporting safety committees: Actively participating in safety initiatives.
- Managing EHS data: Collecting, analysing, and using data to improve safety.
- Business continuity: Developing and implementing plans to ensure organizational resilience.
- Sustainability integration: Promoting sustainable practices aligned with business objectives.
- All employees are expected to demonstrate a flexible approach in the delivery of work within the department. They are required to be proactive members of the HR team and work closely with all other members to ensure both timely and best outcomes are achieved for all stakeholders. To support this approach, all HR employees may be required to work with external and internal partners, work across formal lines of accountability and perform duties not specifically identified in the job description but which are in line with the general level of responsibility of the post. Support ad-hoc project work and provide expertise where necessary as well as undertake any other assignments as may be assigned from time to time.
**Education & Qualification**
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field (preferred).
**Relevant Experience & Years of Service**
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related ESH role.
- Experience with safety audits and inspections.
- Experience with environmental permitting and compliance.
**Technical Skills & Professional Knowledge**
- Must have attended the NIOSH Safety Health Officer Course
- Familiar with Fire Fighting System and with Industrial Hygiene i.e. noise, chemical
- Familiar with Scheduled Waste Management / Hazardous Chemical Management
- Must be familiar with Factories & Machinery Act 1967, Occupational Safety & Health Act 1994 (OSHA 1994) and Environmental Quality Act and regulations.
- Working-at-Height (WAH)
- Authorized Entrant & Standby Person for Confined Space (AESP)
- First Aider
- Knowledge of industrial hygiene principles.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
