Minimum 3 years’ experience in related field - **Accountabilities & Responsibility**_ **Environment** - To liaise with Department Of Environment (DOE) all related matters. - Overseeing and coordinating waste disposal, waste collection and recycling activities in an efficient and environmentally-friendly manner - Providing the skills and knowledge required to assess occupational competence in various areas of the waste management industry, including waste collection, site operatives and supervisory roles - Managing daily operations of fleets of waste management crews (compactors and RORO bin Lorries) and cleaners to achieve highest standard of works and optimizing operation cost. - Ensuring waste management schemes are implemented effectively and legal requirements are upheld - Overseeing the transportation of waste to ensure its efficiency and prevent contamination - of air, land or water - Using national waste strategy and policy to inform plans for waste collection, disposal, and minimisation and recycling - Advising the company on the likely impact of new legislation, policies and initiatives - Locating areas in which waste management is problematic and devising solutions Establishing safety procedures and strict adherence for waste management crews and cleaners in line with OSHA act and others statutory requirements eg: Immigrations, Local Authority and SWCorp. - Conducting in-house training for workers and supervisors on effective and efficient working procedure in line with existing KPIs set up authority /customers and new requirements from time to time. **Safety & Health** - To develop Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental ("H.S.E") policies and procedures. - Responsible to schedule and implement all the routine inspections related to H.S.E. - To conduct and review the risk assessment and enforce preventive measure. - To inspect the workplace to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliances or process or any description of manual labor used in the workplace, is such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person working in the workplace ( Safety Audit ). - To investigate any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease that happened in the workplace. - To become secretary to the H.S.E. committee, if any, any specified under sub regulation 6(2) of the Occupational Safety and Health (Safety and Health Committee) Regulations 1996, and perform all functions of a secretary as specified in that Regulations. - To collect, analyze and maintain statistics on any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, and occupational disease which have occurred at the workplace. - To Initiate and organize H.S.E. training of employees and executives. - To liaise with Department Of Occupational Safety And Health (DOSH) / Jabatan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (JKKP) on Safety and Industrial Hygiene related issues. - To liaise with Bomba on Fire Fighting System training, Fire Drill and all related matters. **Key Requirements** - Must possess a Bachelor Degree in Waste/Environmental Management/ Environmental Engineering/ Safety & Health or related. - Must be certified Safety & Health Officer (Green Book) - Certified of Professional Schedule Waste Management certificate is optional (CePSWaM) - Preferred to have more than 5 years working experience particularly in the waste management concessionaire (SWM, Alam Flora etc.) or environmental and safety & health management field. - Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills to lead the team. - Self-motivation, result oriented, confident and positive personality. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month **Benefits**: - Free parking - Health insurance - Maternity leave - Opportunities for promotion - Parental leave - Professional development Schedule: - Monday to Friday Supplemental pay types: - Attendance bonus - Performance bonus - Yearly bonus
