**Role Purpose**

The purpose of this role is to provide significant technical expertise in architecture planning and design of the concerned tower (platform, database, middleware, backup etc) as well as managing its day-to-day operations

**͏**:

- In-depth technical knowledge of VMWare / Virtualisation product suite and technologies.
- Build, Configure and maintain VMware environments to ensure availability, reliability, and performance.
- Strong experience in building highly automated and self-service platform on the VMware suite of software.
- Ensure Operational process and procedures are formally documented, maintained, and adhered to.
- Advanced trouble shooting skills and ability to collaborate with other Infrastructure teams to resolve issues.
- Experience in enterprise architecture, Virtualisation, Cloud computing, Hyper converged solution.
- Able to manage end-to-end controls on Datacentres migration, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for virtualisation infrastructure.
- In depth knowledge of hyper converged platform / storage, including Pure Storage Arrays and working knowledge of Dell vXRail, vSAN, Metro clusters.
- Hands-On Experience on P2V analysis and automated migration.
- Experience in creating automated dashboards for capacity management on virtual environments.
- Experience in Migration of Virtual Infra between DCs and migration of physical servers to virtual infrastructure etc.
- Continually improve the Virtual Infrastructure’s support tools and practices whilst maintaining a reliable, cost effective and performant environment.
- Ensure highest levels of ownership, accountability and service are maintained within the team.
- Participate in out of hours support to fulfil production and project needs as required.
- Experience in banking industry and Project Management
- Intermediate Scripting skills and integrations to ADO as per requirements.
- Ability to develop, automate and implement VM operations best practices.
- Automate the end-to-end delivery and management of Virtual Infra including rollout patch deployment and releases.
- Create and maintain technical documentation related to virtualisation infrastructure.
- Monitor virtualization infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and hands-on with ITIL process and ticketing workflows.
- Coordinate and work on the Incidents, Change Requests, Problem tickets and other Major Incident root cause analysis.
- Efficiently work with the vendors and third-party engagements based on the requirements of the infrastructure support scope.
