F&b Storekeeper and Front-of-house Assistant

Position Overview:
The F&B Storekeeper and Front-of-House Assistant is a dual-role position responsible for managing inventory and supporting front-of-house operations in a non-halal Chinese restaurant. The role requires organizational skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude to ensure smooth operations in both the storeroom and dining area.

Key Responsibilities:
Storekeeping Duties:
Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming supplies, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Maintain an organized storeroom and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and prepare stock reports for management.

Stock Issuance:

- Issue ingredients and supplies to the kitchen and front-of-house as needed, maintaining proper documentation.
- Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices for perishable items.

Compliance and Maintenance:

- Ensure all food storage complies with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the storeroom, including proper labeling and categorization.

Front-of-House Duties:
Guest Assistance:

- Support the service team during peak hours by greeting guests, ensuring payment and their needs are met.
- Provide information on menu items, including specialties and ingredients, and assist with customer enquiries when required.

Dining Area Maintenance:

- Assist in setting up and maintaining the cleanliness and readiness of the dining area.
- Replenish table settings, condiments, and other essentials promptly.

Operational Support:

- Collaborate with the kitchen and service team to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
- Respond promptly to any guest inquiries or requests.

**Requirements**:
Education & Experience:

- Previous experience in storekeeping or front-of-house operations in F&B is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Chinese cuisine and non-halal ingredients is an advantage.

**Skills**:

- Must be proficient in Chinese language
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items.
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
