Marketing Officer

Specific Responsibilities

1. Develops a Public Relations program base on its marketing goal.

2. Develops media contacts, plans press activities. Acts as hotel’s liaison with media to promote good publicity and counteract bad publicity.

3. Coordinates and executes publication of hotel’s face book, tik tok, instagram and publications of F&B Flyers.

4. Coordinates and executes production of other printed material, independently or with assistance of advertising agencies.

5. Develop and organizes Joint promotional activities with third party to promote the hotel and create awareness.

6. Develops and organizes promotional activities, coordinates with departments concerned; invites VIPs and media to attend promotional activities, prepares and issues press releases.

7. Disseminate hotels, corporate joint press release to appropriate media, regional and international trade, group and consumer media.

8. Establishes sales promotion focus and leads from the study of face book, tik tok, instagram and personal contacts in coordination with Food & Beverage and Marketing Manager.

9. Establishes a program for sending trade, group and consumer publications on a regular basis, press releases covering special events, promotions, etc.

10. Prepares promotional press release on personalities among guests and employees of the hotel and no noteworthy events in the hotel.

11. Provides information to other departments on activities within and outside the hotel, which may be useful when dealing with guests.

12. Prepares annual Marketing goals and budgets in cooperation with Marketing Manager. Prepares working plans to carry out goals, compares actual achievements against goals and takes corrective action.

13. Accept client / media complaints, requests, and requires and coordinates handling with departments concerned.

14. Supervises and directs photographers commissioned to take pictures of VIPs, shows, etc.

15. Coordinates and supervises the art section in production of posters and other printed material.

16. Coordinates all activities with the Marketing Manager / F&B Manager at all times.

17. Works with Marketing, Food & Beverage and Front Office to coordinate guest lists, invitations for VIP receptions, luncheons, dinners, etc.

18. Maintains clipping files pertaining to the hotel’s advertising and publicity based on daily perusal of media and provides the same to Hotel Manager, Marketing Manager.

19. Ensures complete awareness by all Marketing staff of competitors’ activities at all times.

20. Maintains mailing list / contact file.

21. Maintains photograph / slide library.

22. Undertakes training activities as required.

23. Participates in weekly Marketing meeting.

24. Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner to achieve the overall objectives of the position.

25. Establishes and maintains effective employee relations.

26. Maintains the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards all guests, clients, staff and employees.

27. Maintains a professional confidentially.

28. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned by Marketing Manager.

29. Evaluates sponsorship with Marketing Manager / F&B Manager / General Manager.

30. Liaises with Marketing Manager on matters affecting corporate image.

31. Establishes and maintains effective employee relations.

32. To perform other duties and projects as directed by the Marketing Manager.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
