The Parent Liaison supports the relationship between parents, students, and school staff. The Parent Liaison provides support for parents and students by building positive relationships with parents, communicating school policies and procedures to parents and acting as an advocate for parents with regards to school practices.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents in order to provide a fun and safe learning environment for their child.
- Provide parent workshops and trainings to assist parents in supporting their child's success in school.
- Educate parents about school policies and practices, including registration, student schedules, transportation, required forms.
- Answer prospective and current parents inquiries in a timely manner.
- Assist parents with required activities in the school office including completing school admission materials or other school matters.
- Assist with calling parents on behalf of teacher or school administrators to communicate regarding student's performance or other student related matters.
- Scheduling or assisting with scheduling parent-teacher conferences for parents.
- Interacting with students and teachers to assist students with language barriers in communicating with teachers.
- Discuss school programmes in depth with inquiring families.
- Maintains an online admission calendar and coordinates school tours.
- Composes and manages correspondence to parents.
- Provides internal administrative and organisational support to the school.
- Manage a professional and welcoming admissions process for prospective students to ensure that all inquiring parents and applicants receive a positive impression of the school, from enquiry, arranging visits, assessments and interviews, to making offers and enrolling new students.
- Ensure that parents of new students receive relevant documentation; assist with form allocation and prepare induction materials; provide relevant teaching staff with the required documentation relating to the new student.
- Maintain students records and databases.
- Regularly review own practice, set personal development targets and take responsibility for own continuous professional development.
- Other duties as determined in consultation with the Principal/Director, or such persons as the School may designate.

**Requirements**:

- This role requires an individual to support and contribute to the school's responsibility for safeguarding students.
- Maintain high professional standards of attendance, punctuality, appearance, conduct and positive, courteous relations with students, parents and staff.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to relate well with people on all levels with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.
- Able to communicate effectively with parents and school staff.
- First class organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines; systematic in approach to tasks, with attention to details.
- Evidence of a pro-active approach to planning and prioritising work, with the ability to use initiative appropriately.
- A high level of personal integrity with proven experience of handling sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy and with complete respect for confidentiality.
- Able to work as part of a team.

**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
