An Account Executive (AE) can refer to roles in both sales and accounting, but more commonly, it's a professional focused on managing client relationships and driving sales. Sales AEs build and maintain client accounts, conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and identify new business opportunities. In contrast, an Accounts Executive in a finance department handles financial record-keeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management. Role of a Sales Account Executive
- **Client Management**: They are the primary contact for clients, building rapport, loyalty, and strong relationships.
- **Sales & Business Development**: They find and win new customers, pursue new opportunities within existing accounts, and meet sales targets.
- **Communication**: They coordinate with internal teams and clients, pitch ideas, and conduct sales presentations.
- **Negotiation**: They negotiate contracts and guide clients through the purchasing process.
Role of an Accounts Executive (Finance)
- **Financial Record-Keeping**: This role involves maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring data entries are correct.
- **Accounts Receivable**: They manage and report on customer accounts, track overdue balances, and issue invoices.
- **Accounts Payable**: They handle payments to vendors.
- **Cash Flow Management**: They monitor and report on the company's cash flow.
- **Month-End Processes**: They assist with closing the month's accounts and preparing financial statements and journal entries.
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
