**Job Summary**:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee slope-related and geotechnical projects. This role requires a professional with a strong understanding of geotechnical engineering, slope stabilization, and site safety to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for project planning, execution, and completion within scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Project Planning & Coordination**:
- Develop project plans, timelines, and strategies for slope stabilization or geotechnical-related works.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
- Determine resource requirements (staff, materials, equipment) and manage their allocation.
**2. Scope & Budget Management**:
- Define and manage project scope, ensuring that all deliverables meet client expectations.
- Monitor and control project budgets, costs, and financial forecasts to ensure adherence to budget limits.
- Conduct cost estimation and manage procurement of materials and services.
**3. Risk Management**:
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with slope stability, environmental conditions, and geotechnical hazards.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards, codes, and environmental regulations.
**4. Site Supervision & Quality Control**:
- Oversee day-to-day activities on the site, ensuring smooth and timely execution of tasks.
- Ensure all activities comply with quality standards, safety protocols, and project specifications.
- Supervise testing of materials, soil investigations, and any other required assessments to ensure project specifications are met.
**5. Stakeholder Communication**:
- Liaise with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project progress.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project status, including timelines, budgets, and quality metrics.
- Organize and lead project meetings to review progress and resolve any issues or delays.
**6. Team Management**:
- Lead and manage project teams, including site engineers, surveyors, and subcontractors.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to junior team members.
- Ensure a collaborative work environment to meet project goals efficiently.
**7. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance**:
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor site safety conditions and conduct regular safety audits.
- Address and resolve safety issues promptly to prevent accidents and project delays.
**8. Reporting & Documentation**:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, permits, progress reports, and correspondence.
- Ensure all necessary regulatory documentation, permits, and reports are filed in accordance with project requirements.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
**9. Post-Project Evaluation**:
- Lead post-project evaluations to assess the success of the project and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide lessons learned and recommendations for future projects.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum 5 years of experience in managing geotechnical or slope stabilization projects, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- **Certifications**: PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is a plus. Health & Safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are advantageous.
**Skills**:
- Strong understanding of slope stability, soil mechanics, and geotechnical engineering principles.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and handle pressure effectively.
- Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations related to geotechnical projects.
**Working Conditions**:
- **Location**: Sungai Besi (Site-based, with travel required)
- **Hours**: Full-time, with occasional weekend or evening work as required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
