Business Analyst

**Position Overview**
Provides business analysis services to Business Operations and assigned projects or initiatives. This position under limited supervision is to work closely with the stakeholder group and project teams to gain in-depth understanding of, processes, infrastructure, road map and the context in which the business operates. This role will be key to understanding the capabilities needed to address business challenges.

The Business Analyst is responsible for reviewing assigned business processes from end-to-end to identify and address operational and technological risks. Identify opportunities to optimize and improve efficiency. This role will include activities such as leading small to mid-size projects, supporting the Associate Director and Director of Solutions Delivery, and collaborate on larger more complex projects that impacts Asia Business Operations

Support the development release cycles for the administration system to deliver priorities. Work with business users to consolidate requirements for new and existing functionality and assist with resolution of production support issues to ensure seamless business operations for six Administration Teams in Asia.

**Responsibilities**
- Support the implementation of the project delivery and change management team, which include setting up and monitor the adoption of project standards, governance and control for projects and initiatives within the Asia Business Operations portfolio.
- Work in collaboration with the Regional/ Global/ Local Administration and IT teams, to implement demand management processes to deliver small to mid-size projects.
- Work in collaboration with Asia Business Operations teams to define and track performance of team with dashboards and reporting.
- Participate in multiple workstream or projects by evaluating business requirements to determine feasibility, conducting structured walkthroughs of requirements, managing workstream/project scope; completing and updating project documentation; schedule management; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing customer expectations.
- To convert the business requirements into detailed technical requirements for the technology team
- To co-ordinate with the technology team to explain the requirements and ensure alignment to the business problem and proposed solution
- To validate the developed solution before handing it over to the customer for User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- To co-ordinate with the businesses and the technology team to facilitate UAT
- Collaborate with others through articulating ideas and viewpoints to management and peers; identifying and initiating projects; managing resources; driving the resolution of issues/conflict management along with negotiate needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders; and holding self and workstream team accountable for delivery of results.
- Assist in fostering business partner relationships and expectations with different RGA functions by developing a communication process to keep others up to date on workstream or project results such as utilizing formal and informal written communication to communicate updates and findings; and facilitating project meetings or stand ups and can lead presentations to diverse RGA audiences.
- Collaborate on efforts across local, regional, and global teams in ensuring proposed solutions for Asia Business Operations are compliant and in line with risk appetite.
- Provide project level analysis - producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, process diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan) Collaborate closely with both global and regional IT to implement the requirements, provide necessary guidance to testers during QA process.
- Is an agent of positive change and thought leader in continuous improvement of workstream/project delivery process.

**Requirements** Education and Experience**

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, IT or any related field
- 5 years related experience such as business analysis, project management, project management office, demand management, etc.
- Minimum 2 years in insurance/ reinsurance industry

Preferred:

- PRINCE 2 or equivalent project management certification/qualification
- Exposure to agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies
