**Position Summary**:
Supports the day-to-day execution of general ledger impacted processes, including support to clients as they work with and understand these processes. Execute all accounting transactions covering various activities of the hotel accurately and properly record in accordance with Merlin policies, local regulations and general accounting. Supervise the functioning of the account balancing, ledger reconciliation, general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers such as Income Audit, Accounts Receivable and related reporting.

**Scope and Responsibilities**:

- Preparing Daily Flash Report for Hotel.
- Prepare all financial statements, accruals and journal entries, and maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts on a timely basis for Hotel & MEGM.
- Manage inter-company & inter-departmental billings.
- Perform daily bank reconciliation to ensure all deposits are reconciled to Opera & Galaxy system.
- Ensures chargeback queries are responded to the bank on a timely manner.
- Perform Income Audit task by auditing the revenue of the Hotel, reviewing rebates, reconciliation of Guest Ledger, Deposit Ledger and Package Ledger and No Shows.
- Assist, along with other Finance team members, with all month-end, quarterly or yearly inventories.
- Monitor the maintenance of the Park & Hotel’s fixed assets, including fixed assets tagging, classifying them, updating the Fixed Assets Register, maintaining a proper depreciation schedule, checking net book values and completing the asset disposal forms, when necessary.
- Manages the HFM system for updating monthly financials, forecast & budget.
- Perform any additional duties as required by the Management to guarantee that Accounting records are maintained professionally.

**Background and Experience**:

- At least 1-2 years of progressive finance.
- Knowledgeable in Accounts Payable/Receivable/Reconciliation etc.
- Self-starter who can work independently and use own initiative.
- Competent in using Microsoft Applications such as Words, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Experienced with multi-tasking environment.
- Adaptable in a diverse culture environment.
- Being experienced in working in an environment that requires the ability to communicate with people of different levels and embracing the team-work spirit.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, analytical thinking, problem solving and attention to detail required.

**Education**:
Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent.

**Additional Information**:

- Malaysian.
- Fully vaccinated.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings & weekends to support park operations.
