Seraya Special School is a new, purpose-built centre in Malaysia empowering children and young adults with special needs through education, therapy, vocational training, and pathways to employment.
Backed by MIJ Hub, a Singapore-based non-profit with 14 years of impact, three centres, and social enterprises serving hundreds of neurodivergent individuals. Seraya represents the next chapter in our journey toward inclusive education across the region — a dedicated hub for children with higher needs, supporting every stage of growth from early childhood to adulthood.
**About the Role**
We’re looking for a Growth Marketing Manager to lead Seraya’s launch in Malaysia. You’ll be responsible for building brand awareness, driving student enrolments, and supporting partnership and fundraising efforts. You’ll be both strategic and hands-on: managing digital campaigns, leading content strategy, organising events and community activations, and tracking performance metrics to ensure growth.
You’ll work directly with the Director of Growth & Strategy and collaborate with MIJ Hub’s regional marketing team, supported by a full-time videographer/editor. This is a startup-style role with high ownership, creativity, and the opportunity to build the marketing foundation for MIJ’s Malaysian expansion, including upcoming social enterprises under Seraya.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Brand & Awareness**
- Develop and execute Seraya’s brand and launch strategy across digital and on-ground channels.
- Craft storytelling that communicates Seraya’s mission, programmes, and community impact.
- Maintain consistent brand voice and visuals across all marketing touchpoints in English and Malay.
**Lead Generation & Enrolment Growth**
- Plan, run, and optimize paid campaigns (Meta, Google, etc.) with agency support.
- Build and refine marketing funnels to improve lead quality and conversion.
- Support or coordinate with the sales/enrolment team to ensure smooth handovers and consistent communication.
- Organise community events, workshops, and school tours to drive awareness and sign-ups.
- Track, analyse, and report on campaign performance, cost per lead, and conversion rates
**Content & Social Media Strategy**
- Lead content planning and storytelling across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
- Work closely with the videographer/editor to create engaging visual and video content.
- Collaborate with MIJ Hub’s designer and creative team for campaign assets.
- Partner with KOLs, influencers, and like-minded brands to amplify awareness, trust, and engagement.
- Be comfortable appearing on camera for interviews, behind-the-scenes content, and campaign storytelling.
- Drive social engagement and community interaction through creative, purpose-driven content.
**Partnerships & Fundraising Support**
- Support the Director in preparing partnership decks, proposals, and marketing collaterals.
- Coordinate meetings and follow-ups with corporate partners, foundations, and community organisations.
- Co-create joint campaigns or activations that strengthen Seraya’s visibility and credibility.
**Analytics & Project Management**
- Monitor performance dashboards and lead data in HubSpot, GA4, and Meta Ads Manager.
- Manage campaign timelines, budgets, and reporting.
- Identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, and improved performance across the funnel.
**Requirements**:
- 5-7 years of experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, or brand management, ideally in a startup or education related environment.
- Strong command of both English and Malay for marketing and community engagement.
- Hands-on experience with Meta and Google Ads, social media management, and performance analytics.
- Confident and personable, comfortable representing the brand on camera when needed.
- Data-driven with excellent analytical and project management skills.
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and purpose-driven marketing.
- Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and thrive in building from scratch in a fast-paced environment.
