**Job Title: Quality Executive - Automotive Parts and Claims Management**
**Location: Berjaya Plant, Tampoi, Johor Bahru**
**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Quality Management**:
- Monitor and assess the quality of automotive parts during production, as well as upon receipt from suppliers.
- Implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure that received parts meet industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough inspections and audits of incoming parts to identify any defects, damages, or shortages during the receiving process.
- **Claims Management - Damaged or Short-Received Parts**:
- Investigate claims related to damaged, defective, or short-received automotive parts during the inbound logistics process.
- Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to identify the root causes of damaged or missing parts.
- Coordinate with the purchasing and logistics teams to address shortages or damages, ensuring accurate reporting and efficient resolution.
- Track and document claims for damaged or short-received parts, ensuring timely resolution and proper follow-up.
- Work with the customer service team to handle customer claims related to delivery errors and ensure customer satisfaction.
**Root Cause Analysis**:
- Lead root cause investigations for recurring quality issues in the receiving process, including damages or shortages.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) based on findings to reduce future claims and improve the receiving process.
- Analyze data to identify trends in receiving issues and recommend process or supplier improvements.
**Reporting and Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate records of all quality inspections, claims, and resolutions related to damaged or short-received parts.
- Generate detailed reports on claim trends, root cause analysis, and corrective actions, and present these findings to management.
- Ensure proper documentation of all claim resolutions, including correspondence with suppliers, and actions taken.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:
- Collaborate with the purchasing, logistics, and warehouse teams to address quality issues related to receiving processes, ensuring smooth communication and problem resolution.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on handling damaged or short-received parts and improving the overall receiving process.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve quality concerns, including delivery errors, and drive improvements in parts delivery.
**Continuous Improvement**:
- Contribute to the development and execution of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of parts received and reduce damages or shortages.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in quality control, claims management, and supply chain processes.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quality control/assurance within the automotive parts industry, including experience with claims management for damaged or short-received goods.
- Strong understanding of the automotive manufacturing process, parts specifications, and receiving standards.
- Experience in managing claims related to damaged or short-shipped parts.
- Proficiency in quality management systems (ISO, IATF 16949) and tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data and propose effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Knowledge of supply chain management practices and inventory control.
- Familiarity with automotive part specifications and testing methodologies.
- Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
- Experience with data analysis tools and software.
