CNC Cam Programmer(Entry-level with

**Reports To**: CAM Head of Department, CAM Assistant Department Leader and Senior CAM Programmer

The CNC CAM Programmer (Entry-Level with certificate or diploma) is responsible for converting CAD models into machine-readable instructions. This role ensures the efficient and accurate machining of components, focusing on maximizing productivity and maintaining high-quality standards. The CNC CAM Programmer collaborates closely with engineers, machinists, and other team members to develop effective machining strategies and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **CAM Programming**: Develop and write CNC programs using CAM software based on CAD models and engineering drawings. Generate tool paths and select appropriate tools and cutting parameters for efficient machining operations.
- **Simulation and Testing**: Conduct simulations of CNC programs to verify tool paths. Make necessary adjustments to programs based on simulation results machinists feedback.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with CAD designers, engineers, and machinists to understand project requirements and manufacturing constraints.
- **Team communication**: Communicate effectively with team members to ensure accurate interpretation of design intent and manufacturing capabilities.
- **Documentation**:Maintain detailed records of CNC programs, tool selections, and machining parameters. Document modifications to programs for future reference and continuous improvement.
- **Quality Assurance**: Perform quality checks on CNC programs to ensure they meet design standards and tolerances. Identify and report any discrepancies or issues for resolution.
- **Troubleshooting and Support**: Provide technical support and assist in troubleshooting machining issues with machinists during the setup and operation of CNC machines.
- **Learning and Development**: Continuously develop proficiency in CAM software and machining techniques.
- **Adherence to Procedures**: Follow company policies, procedures, and best practices related to CAM programming and machining. Comply with safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

**Requirements**:

- Work location in Chan Sow Lin area, Kuala Lumpur
- 6 day work week: Monday to Saturday 8.00AM - 5.00PM

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Certificate or diploma in CNC machining, mechanical engineering, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
- **Experience**: No prior experience required; internships or coursework in CAM programming and CNC machining are beneficial.
- **Skills**:

- Exposure in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar).
- Exposure in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Basic understanding of CNC machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,400.00 per month
