Production Planner

**Job Summary**
- The Production Planner, reporting to the Site Planning Manager, is responsible for establishing and managing production schedules aligned with the Master Production Schedule.
- The role requires close collaboration with the Site Planner, Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and other stakeholders to maximize labor and material utilization while coordinating inventory management activities.
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to balance short-term priorities, and exceptional analytical capabilities are essential.
- Key objectives include meeting or exceeding customer service targets, managing WIP and inventory levels, and balancing supply and demand within the global supply chain.

**Responsibilities**:
**1) Schedule and Product Mix Adherence**
- Ensure lead time adherence and optimize inventory health.
- Identify short
- to long-term S&OP risks and opportunities.
- Execute processes critical to achieving service level, WIP, and inventory targets.

**2) Core Responsibilities**
- Review the master production schedule, focusing on short-term needs, and develop detailed manufacturing plans that maximize labor and material utilization.
- Perform finite capacity scheduling for critical work centers and manage replenishment orders and changes based on MRP/Schedule in SAP.
- Maintain strong communication with manufacturing teams to confirm schedules and monitor open orders for on-time delivery.
- Proactively report product and material availability issues.
- Reconcile and communicate component shortages to purchasing, assisting in problem resolution.
- Work cross-functionally to resolve issues that may impact production or delivery timelines.
- Maintain accurate product availability dates for customer order commitments.
- Ensure master data integrity for assigned product lines and update system planning data to optimize future requirements in SAP.
- Oversee timely resolution/rework of returned goods, hold notices, and recalls, and monitor discrepant inventory to take corrective actions.
- Generate and analyze detailed inventory reports for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to provide insights to stakeholders.
- Measure and improve inventory accuracy, analyze discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of production and inventory control programs, policies, and systems.
- Participate in new product launches, process improvement projects, and Kaizen initiatives targeting cost, inventory, and lead-time reduction.
- Complete special projects and assignments as directed.

**Job Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field; APICS/CSCP/IBF or Process Excellence certification preferred.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, inventory planning, or purchasing, with expertise in ERP and Advanced Planning systems (VBA preferred), particularly SAP or SAP S4/HANA.
- Experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse and ERP/AP system implementation is an advantage.
- Background in production planning or manufacturing within medical, pharmaceutical, or consumer industries.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and Power BI.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (JIT, Kanban, Pull Systems) and familiarity with GMP, ISO, UDI, and MDR requirements preferred.
- Strong understanding of supply chain planning, MRP, and inventory management best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, adapt quickly, and work independently under pressure.

- Fluent in English; willing to travel 5-10%.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM12,500.00 per month
