**Primary Objective**:
Business Risk

Support Business Risk Officer (BRO) in terms of advisory to senior management senior management on all Non-Financial risk (NFR) positions and matters in Group Wholesale Banking (GWB). To clarify this includes the Group Investment Banking and Group Asset Management businesses.

Appraise and obtain direction and strategic guidance from BRO on all NFR management activities for GWB Support BRO for the oversight and management of all Non-Financial risk (NFR) management activities within GWB Business Units (to include SBG/SFG). This includes Operational risk, Fraud and Corruption risk, Third Party risk, Tech & Cyber risk, Shariah Risk and Business Continuity etc. Support BRO on controls, advisory and embedding risk culture for both strategic and operational matters for GWB (More relevant to input which SBG/SFG that this BRC reports to).

**Key Responsibilities**:
Business RiskStrategic partner
- Provide data and report on NFR related risk positions of respective SBS/SFS/SBG/SFGs to facilitate Business Risk Officer (BRO) in GWB strategy and planning discussion
- Perform analysis and propose the risk appetite and supporting metrics r related to NFR such as Operational risk, Fraud and Corruption risk, Third Party risk, Tech & Cyber risk, Shariah Risk and Business Continuity across division/businesses for GWB.

NFR risk management
- Monitor the risks and associated controls for businesses under GCB
- Leverage on the reports & risk assessments to be on top of all NFR related risks within the business and execute key action plans within GWB.
- Ensure NFR risk identification, assessment, treatment, monitoring and reporting and escalation activities are performed in accordance with relevant NFR related Frameworks.
- Regular & timely reporting of issues, incidents/breaches and actions, root cause assessment to respective Head of SBG/SFG, MD, Group Wholesale Banking and Head of Group Operational Risk Management.

Business advisor and support
- Review and advise Business Risk Officer (BRO) to ensure NFR requirements and controls are embedded in relevant frameworks, policies procedures and processes,
- Advise and provide guidance to business and functional teams within GWB on all NFR related matters/issues to support day-to-day operations and decision making of each business team. Attend regular division (SBG/SFG) and sub-division (BG/FG) meetings and provide independent opinion from risk and control point of view

Liaison
- Be the main point-of-contact of all NFR related issues/matters within GWB Business Units (e.g., queries relating to policies and procedures)
- Coordinate with specialist risk functions on their controls testing, framework/policy changes Coordinate on GWB response for consultative papers in relation to NFR related regulations

Embedding the risk culture
- Communicate any updates on NFR related policies, guidelines etc to all staff within GWB
- Drive and monitor the risk culture and risk ownership within within GWB Business Units.
- Provision of training -deeper embedding of Risk knowledge in business Share lessons learnt across business/ functional units within GWB to enhance NFR risk awareness and appreciation at GWB to ensure non-recurrence of incidents / losses

Subject matter expertise

Support BRO GWB in providing expertise and guidance to team leads on management of NFR

Support best practice sharing across teams

Standard enforcement

Ensure respective businesses follow standards and practices of their functional expertise

Provide guidance & support on the implementation of initiatives at business level

- Preferred Risk Management Certification

Minimum of 10 years on Non-Financial Risk/Operational Risk / Compliance in an established financial services institution In-depth knowledge of Non-Financial Risk/Operational Risk with strong understanding on regulatory and internal risk & compliance matters. Able to provide guidance and advisory to business on all Non Financial Risk matters. Excellent analytical, oral and written skills.
