**Job purpose**

Responsible for being the point of contact between the mechanic workers and supervisors. A few of the main duties of this role are coordinating tasks for the day, creating schedules for workers, oversee and supervising the work of all site operatives, and managing the budget. This role also responsible for ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time to customer and ensure within budget along with managing equipment and materials required.

**Duties and responsibilities**

1. Skilled and experienced in diagnosing and troubleshooting vehicle problems.

2. Supervising and coordinating the activities of automotive technicians and mechanics.

3. Assigning tasks to team members and ensuring they are completed efficiently and on schedule.

4. Overseeing the maintenance and repair of vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

5. Inspecting completed work to ensure quality and compliance with safety regulations before handover to customer.

6. Training new employees and providing ongoing guidance and support to the team.

7. Ordering parts and supplies as needed to maintain inventory levels.

8. Troubleshooting complex mechanical issues and providing technical expertise to resolve them.

9. Maintaining records of work performed, including repairs, inspections, and maintenance schedules.

10. Implementing and enforcing safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries in the workshop.

11. Communicating with customers to explain repairs and provide updates on the status of their vehicles.

12. Collaborating with other departments, such as parts and service, to streamline operations and improve customer satisfaction.

13. Keeping abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to ensure the workshop remains competitive and efficient.

**Qualifications**
- Diploma/Advanced/Higher/ Graduates in Automotive Studies or professional qualification in Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia 2 & 3 (SKM 2&3) or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years minimum of working experience in automotive industry.
- Experience with the latest diagnostic software.
- Strong leadership, business partnering and able to contribute to strategic decisions
- High degree of flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities
- A self-starter with good communication and project management skills
- Strong in dealing with and building relationships with all levels of management and stakeholders
- High level of integrity and persistence

Pay: From RM3,000.00 per month
