**Job Summary**:
The Assistant Chief Steward assists in managing and supervising the stewarding department to ensure a clean and organized working environment in the kitchen and food service areas. This position is responsible for coordinating dishwashing, cleaning, and sanitation activities to support the smooth functioning of the hotel's food and beverage operations.

1. Assist the Chief Steward in overseeing the stewarding team's daily operations.

2. Train new stewarding staff on proper procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols.

3. Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.

4. Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely replenishment of stock.

5. Supervise the proper cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, dishwashing machines, and utensils.

6. Schedule routine maintenance and repairs as needed.

7. Monitor the cleanliness of kitchen and food preparation areas, dishwashing, and storage areas.

8. Implement effective waste disposal procedures and recycling initiatives.

9. Monitor waste levels and coordinate with relevant departments for disposal.

10. Collaborate with the culinary team, restaurant managers, and banquet managers to ensure smooth operations.

11. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all stewarding activities.

**Job Requirement**:

- SPM or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a stewarding or related department, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar capacity.
- Knowledge of sanitation, safety, and hygiene standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to train and develop staff.
- Familiarity with industrial dishwashing machines and kitchen equipment.
- Malaysian citizenship or possession of a valid spouse visa.
