Manager - Sustainability (Project Management)

**POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY**
- Responsible to oversee and coordinate all sustainability related projects and special projects end-to-end assigned.
- The projects may include but are not limited to renewable energy, energy efficiency, ev charging integration, green building certification, airport upgrading, new construction and others.

**ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS**
- Responsible for overseeing sustainability related projects and deliverables in collaboration with other departments within the organization.
- Develop project plan, cost strategy and action plans in ensuring all risks and opportunities related to the project is identified.
- Participate in the conceptual planning, project design, cost analysis, business plan, construction and handover lifecycle of the project.
- Become the central point of reference for the sustainability team in relation to execution of sustainability related projects on the ground.
- Ensure long-term goals of the Sustainability Framework, EMP 2.0, Decarbonization Roadmap and all other related strategies are upheld.
- Manage team members in project planning and execution for the required projects.
- Manage all internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide monthly and quarterly reports or any required duration on updates in relation to all projects overseen.
- Ensure business-Partner concept with airports and suitable reporting method

**Key Challenges**:

- Ensuring timely delivery of project overseen with mínimal negative outcomes.
- Regulatory compliance to all by-laws, regulations, guidelines, building codes and certification requirements.
- Resource availability and time management to ensure holistic oversight of multiple projects at once time.
- Stakeholder alignment to address all matters raised by contractors, consultants, government bodies and senior management.
- Cost Management of all deliverables.

**Skills**:

- Ability to manage multiple high impact projects simultaneously and systematically.
- Is flexible in terms of personal arrangement to travel and be stationed in required locations for the project.
- Possesses strong knowledge in the construction sector, existing by-laws / policies / standards / regulations.
- Has a progressive problem solving mindset, able to implement on project deliverables and overcome challenges.
- Sees the bigger picture as a whole in relation to targeted outcomes in relation to project deliverables.
- Has strategic thinking to align corporate and business related objectives.
- Able to present and articulate complex and technical concepts to senior management and external stakeholders.
- A team player who is able to work collaboratively with others.

**Education**:

- Degree in any technical or business discipline, ( Eg : Engineering, Architecture, Construction & Project Management, Real Estate & Valuation, Value Management, MBA (Construction), etc.
- Project management certification would be an added advantage.

**Relevant Industries**:
**EXTERNAL**
- **Degree holder with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a managerial roles**

**Unique Requirement**:

- Experience in medium to large scale projects in public transport infrastructure, green buildings or commercial buildings that are relevant.
- Passionate about outcome oriented project management with strong technical background in delivering projects in line with targeted budget, timeline and completeness.
- Has experience in stakeholder engagement with local authorities, government agencies, contractors, consultancy team (architect,engineer,quantity surveyor, etc).
- Added merit to experience in sustainability themed projects such as renewable energy, green building certification, energy efficiency, water conservation, waste reduction and others.
