As a Legal Counsel, you will be drafting, reviewing, giving advice and negotiate a wide array of contracts (i.e sales or procurement contracts, NDA, consortium, frame agreement, etc.) including conducting risk analysis and ensuring compliance with policies and legislation. Reporting to APAC Regional General Counsel, you will be a member of the Process Automation Regional legal team in Asia Pacific, provide legal and integrity support to the Process Automation (PA) businesses across multiple countries within the APAC region.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Building and maintaining a business partnership relationship with internal customers including management.
- Drafting, reviewing, giving advice and negotiating a wide array of contracts (i.e sales or procurement contracts, NDA, consortium, frame agreement, etc.) including conducting risk analysis, give advice on risk mitigation steps and ensuring compliance with policies and legislation
- Providing legal support on managing claims, dispute, litigation, arbitration matters brought by or against the company in the most cost-effective manner
- Providing cross border general legal support including providing training on legal or integrity related topics.
- Participating, promoting and implementing in the compliance/integrity Group program.
- Ensuring that all external legal advice is provided in a cost-effective way.

**Your background**:

- Law degree from a reputable university in a common law jurisdiction
- A practicing lawyer with at least 5 years of working experience. Experience in EPC, Oil & Gas, Energy industries, Marine & Ports and claim management on major projects is preferred.
- Self-motivated and able to work with autonomy
- Team player with strong communication skills, good interpersonal skills and able to work effectively with business stakeholders.
- Multiple jurisdiction experience within Asia Pacific is an added advantage
- Fluency in English and another Asian language is a plus.
