As a Sales Support Specialist, you will be supporting the sales organization and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining costs, preparing final documentation, and serving as a key technical resource in the assigned area. Reporting to Sales Manager, you will be building network internally and externally for exchange of information. Provides support and technical advice to colleagues. This position is based on Subang Jaya, Malaysia. Your responsibilities
- Supporting the local sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers and providing technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations and offers product/ solution/service-related training.
- Preparing/supporting in preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit/feeder factory indications and Sales organization directives.
- Defining cost for the proposed solution and communicates to sales organization and participating in the kickoff meeting organized by the project team.
- Conducting risk and opportunity assessments for consulting assignments and proposing and initiating actions to mitigate and control risks in one's area of responsibility and providing information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participating in the risk review assessment.
- Analyzing customer needs and competitor offering through general market information and information provided by the sales organization.
- Performing lost proposal analysis, identifies potential cause, and recommends future actions in cooperation with Sales/Local Business Unit to obtain better future results.
- Working with contract management activities (invoicing and work in progress, etc.) in one's area of work and ensuring delivery of assignments as per agreed contract, also handle all warranty & quality related matters end-to-end.

Your background
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering and equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of electrical engineering design (MV/LV).
- 3-5 years of experience in technical proposal delivery would be advantage.
- A collaborative, solution-oriented approach and strong communication skills (written/spoken).
- Attentive to both technical and contractual details of RFPs and tender document.
- Excellent deliverance of cost optimal proposal in timely manner.
