Machine Tool Specialist

Responsible for CNC programming to meet schedule timeline and to create, improve programming processes to increase productivity and efficiency.
- To operate the machining centers in accordance with the process instruction and to provide production output in accordance with the required quality standards, under minimum supervision.
- To ensure that all manufactured pieces meet provided specifications.
- To monitor and observe machining operation to detect malfunctions and adjusts machine controls.
- To monitor, maintain and ensure that the machinery, tools, fixtures and inspection equipment are in good condition within production area.
- To assist in production support by providing solutions related to machine capacity utilisation and to achieve high productivity and quality required.
- Review project instructions and specifications to identify, modify and plan requirements fabrication, assembly and tool testing.
- Discuss changes in design, method of manufacture and assembly, and drafting techniques and procedures with staff and coordinate corrections.
- Confer with technicians and submit reports of test results to engineering department and recommend tool design or tool material changes.
- Analyse test results in relation to design tooling or rated specification and test objectives, and modify or adjust equipment to meet specifications.
- Set up and conduct tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate proposals for improving machine tooling equipment performance.
- Calculate required capacities for tooling equipment of proposed system to obtain specified performance and submit data to engineering personnel for approval.
- Evaluate tool drawing designs by measuring drawing dimension and comparing with original specification for form and function using engineering skills.
- Operate drill press, grinders, engine lathe, or other machines to modify parts tested or to fabricate experimental parts for testing.
- Set up prototype and test apparatus and operate test controlling equipment to observe and record prototype test results.
- Identifying information by categorising, estimating, recognising differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
- Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards.
- Monitor processes, materials, surroundings from materials, environment to assess problems.
- Controlling Machines and Processes - Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes (not including computers or vehicles).
- Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment - Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical(not electronic) principles.
- Provide necessary on-job training to subordinates.
- Operating Vehicles, Mechanised Devices, or Equipment - Running, manoeuvring, navigating.
- Developing and Building Teams - Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Guiding, Directing, and Motivating Subordinates - Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
- Scheduling Work and Tooling machines operation.
- Minimum 5 year in similar capacity and 2 year supervising capacity
