**Main Accountabilities**: Analytical

Pro-actively identify, report on and improve safety related issues in immediate working environment using available tools and systems.
Responsible for overall maintenance, training and calibration of the analytical and testing equipments in analytical lab in accordance to ISO 9001 requirement.
Ensure that analytical goals are met and timelines are maintained. Responsible for overall lab analysis and provide timely and accurate analytical service and support to the R&D, Technical services, operational relating to customer complaint, plant production issue, routine analysis support, new product analysis and product performance and verification where appropriate.
Develope, qualify, implement and verify test methods for analyses of samples generated in latex/emulsion samples and using a variety of technologies including GCMS, GPC, DMA and etc.

**Main Accountabilities**: R&D

Serve as a project leader for research in strategic areas and complex R&D projects; designs and executes investigation plans around complex problems that involves more than one area of specialization; communicate all lab results and project reports to R&D Head, and work closely with Marketing, Technology and Manufacturing teams on projects.
Proactively identifies new opportunities for technical/research projects, propose technical projects which will enhance Synthomer business performance, and lead the investigation and evaluation of the feasibility for potential products and process improvements, as well as write patents and develop IP strategies to protect our products and know-how.

**SHE/QA Responsibilities**:
To be responsible to ensure the department comply with site SHE and QMS procedures.

**Minimum Requirements**:
PhD Degree in emulsion related area with good knowledge of polymer synthesis and experienced in Analytical instruments, ISO, calibration & method development for new polymers.
Min 7 years experience in Analytical or Polymers synthesis or processing.
Ability to lead Analytical and R&D work forces together to conduct technical work using current best practices, analytical tools and external resources.
Publications and patents related to the synthesis of emulsion polymer is a plus.
