**Responsibilities**: - Assist in annual required LRISB financial statements and note disclosures under MFRS (2-company and >30-company consolidated financial statements). - Leverage SAP consolidation done by Corporate Consolidations team. - Create and manage internal request listing for information needed to produce these financial statements; leverage support from Corporate Accounting Team. - Preparation of financial statements and ensuring note disclosures in compliance with MFRS. - Coordinate with Corporate External Reporting to determine what analysis may be necessary between Malaysia financial statements and US consolidated financial information: - Prepare analysis as required - Engagement in annual audit processes conducted by our independent audit firm (E&Y): - Manage overall audit relationship with E&Y Malaysia, with initial support from Corporate Accounting Team and US GAAP Audit. - Ensure E&Y Malaysia coordinates with E&Y US to minimize duplication of audit procedures on our customers and colleagues. - Manage audit timing to ensure successful, on-budget, execution of required audit procedures. - Distribute and track “prepared by client” request listing from E&Y. **Other Job Responsibilities** - Assist in the process of financial statement sign-off: - Preparation of excel bridge between SAP and financial statements if any differences are noted - Obtain approval of local Malaysia controller regarding the accuracy of the financial statements - Submission of financial statements to Corporate Accounting for review and approval - Coordinate with Corporate Legal and obtain all necessary sign-offs on financial statements, Board meetings, etc. - Assist in MFRS accounting: - Coordinate with the Corporate External Reporting on any changes in US GAAP and whether or not those changes are allowable under MFRS: - Determine what changes are required and drive changes within the organization. - Monitor any changes in MFRS and whether or not those changes require additional adjustments to Lam’s US GAAP results: - Determine what changes are required and drive changes within the organization. - Creation and/or validation of additional reporting of financial information provided to various governmental authorities - Support the Tax organization by providing information and analysis, as required, to support tax filings - Development and maintenance of control processes to ensure the information provided to external parties is free of significant error including relevant SOx controls for MFRS close and reporting process - Liaise on timely basis with relevant authorities for group and statutory reporting compliance requirements - Undertake assignments as and when required **Minimum Qualifications** - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, and/or professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA etc.) with at least 5 - 8 years’ experience - External audit experience with Big 4 accounting firm with good technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and attention to details - Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and consolidation of group financial statements - Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) in order to deal effectively with both internal and external parties - Strong collaboration skills given the nature of the job - Highly analytical and able to interpret, draw conclusions and identify issues from journals, reconciliations, and financial statements. - Experience in using the SAP system is an advantage - Experience in the Semiconductor Manufacturing is desired - Skilled in the use of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). **Our Commitment** We believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
