Business Development Manager

Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities: Analyse market trends, competitors and customers’ needs to identify areas for growth.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve company goals, including market expansion and revenue growth. Collaborate with the team to define business objectives and create actionable plans.
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients.
- Leading and guiding a team: provide strategic direction, mentorship, and support to the team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture that encourages innovation and achievement of targets.
- Conducting market research and analysis: Gather market intelligence, conduct competitor analysis, and monitor industry trends to identify opportunities and risks. Utilise findings to develop effective strategies and tactics.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams. Align business development efforts with overall company objectives. Ensure smooth implementation of strategies through effective coordination with various departments.
- Monitoring and evaluating performance: Track the progress of business development initiatives, monitor sales metrics, and evaluate the success of implemented strategies. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Developing and delivering presentation: Prepare compelling proposals and conduct presentations to potential clients, showcasing the company’s value proposition and expertise.
- Managing the company marketing tools: Oversee the management of marketing materials, including website maintenance, brochures, banners, and other collateral, ensuring alignment with the company’s branding and messaging.
**Job Requirement**:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in any field, Environmental Science and related will be an advantage.
- Working experience in the waste management industry or related is required.
- Excellent fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential.
- Proficiency in Mandarin will be an advantage, enabling effective communication with a broader range of clients and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas, build relationships and coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, goal-orientation, and a strong sense of customer service to meet client expectations and contribute to overall customer satisfaction.
- Proven ability to work independently with mínimal guidance, showing proactive initiative, adaptability, and the capacity to handle ambiguity and uncertainty in a dynamic business environment.
- Possession of own transportation and willingness to travel for business purposes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, to create impactful presentations, reports, and other documentation.
