**Public & Government Affairs Intern**

However this doesn't happen without some really awesome people. We are looking for a **Public & Government Affairs Intern **, to support our growing team

**Descriptions**
- Liaise and be a spokesperson between **government entities, business organizations, and community leaders** in service area.
- Develop internal stakeholders' network to **collect information** on system operations and develop corporate positions.
- Resolve stakeholders and government offices' constituent concerns.
- Screen and submit corporate contributions requests to **develop stakeholder relations** and support company initiatives.
- Resolve inquiries and complaints from delegation staff on constituents' behalf.
- Lead community and **civic roles**.
- Counsel and resolve on **civic affairs** and community needs.
- Handle contractors, staff, third party consultants and project teams.

**Requirements**:

- Graduate (any undergraduate degree)
- Experience of **writing clear, concise,** and **persuasive** copy for a range of audiences and in a variety of formats
- Sound **knowledge** of the workings of **government and parliamentary procedure** and good political nous
- Understanding of the **external political environment** and **political developments** as they affect the College
- Track record of **influencing stakeholders**, and understanding of opportunities and risks of working collaboratively with other stakeholders
- Experience of developing and implementing effective **public affairs** strategies.
