Overview

  • Responsible for the maintenance, development, implementation, and support of Java-based applications, including all integrations with downstream systems.
  • Participate in user requirement analysis and system design activities for assigned applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve incidents or problems in accordance with established SOPs and best practices.
  • Support the Team Lead in planning, coordinating, and executing application development, implementation, and production support tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the implementation, support, and maintenance of assigned applications.
  • Perform system analysis, design, development, reporting, modifications, and enhancements as required.
  • Ensure all system changes and enhancements meet user requirements and functional specifications.
  • Provide end-to-end support during system implementation, ensuring smooth deployment through coordination with internal departments.
  • Conduct technology platform assessments, including performance and stress testing.

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in enterprise application development and support within a financial or banking environment.
  • Proven experience with application server clustering, performance tuning, and system testing.
  • Proficient in Java (J2EE) application development.
  • Experience managing and administering WebSphere applications on Unix (AIX).
  • Familiar with relational databases such as IBM DB2 or Oracle.
