Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Senior Executive Finance to join our young and dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller in all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company and Group's financial information.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations and Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and close monthly accounts for assigned companies in accordance to company policy and applicable accounting standards.
  • Assist to prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned companies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, MFRS) and local regulations.
  • For assigned companies, to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, general ledger.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions.
  • Assist to prepare and submit statutory filings to regulatory authorities.
  • Assist in the coordination of external audits.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for assigned companies.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.

Financial Analysis

  • Assist to perform in-depth financial analysis, including key performance indicators (KPIs), profitability analysis, and cash flow analysis.
  • Provide insightful financial reports and recommendations to finance management.

Banking & Cash Management

  • Assist to manage daily banking transactions, including fund transfers, deposits, and withdrawals.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and investigate variances or unusual transactions.
  • Assist to liaise with banks for matters related to accounts, facilities, and transaction queries.
  • Support treasury operations and assist with monthly cash flow reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software, experience with Oracle NetSuite will be an advantage.
  • Strong communication in English and Bahasa Melayu.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
