About the Role

Soori Penang, a luxury heritage hotel is seeking a dedicated
HR Executive
with hospitality experience to support day-to-day staff operations. Based on-site in George Town, the role works closely with our Singapore head office across recruitment, staff welfare, training coordination, and general HR administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily HR administration, including onboarding, attendance, leave management, uniform management, and roster updates.
  • Maintain HR files, employee records, and HR documentation in line with Malaysia employment regulations.
  • Assist with recruitment, including arranging interviews and preparing HR documents.
  • Support staff training schedules and HR-related coordination.
  • Assist with staff welfare and engagement activities.
  • Provide HR support to hotel departments on manpower and administrative matters.
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks such as invoice processing, petty cash, and simple financial documentation.
  • Manage purchasing of hotel supplies and related administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in HR or HR/administration roles; hospitality experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Malaysia employment laws and statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, LHDN).
  • Proficient in basic bookkeeping and accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks).
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Reliable, discreet, and able to work independently with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in English.
