About the Role

We are seeking a proactive IT professional to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our IT department. This position reports directly to the Financial Controller and is responsible for delivering prompt and efficient service to all hotel departments, ensuring our systems remain secure, reliable, and fully operational.

What You'll Be Doing

System Operations & Maintenance

  • Ensure the hotel's computer systems (hardware and software) are fully accounted for, properly maintained, and reliable.
  • Perform routine system setups, including the regular update of anti-virus programs.
  • Strictly perform daily and monthly backup procedures to safeguard backup tapes and ensure process completion.

User Support & Troubleshooting

  • Attend to software and hardware problems encountered by any department and maintain a register of incidents and solutions.
  • Ensure procedures are in place to address software and hardware problems immediately.
  • Assist all departments in formulating their IT material requirements and providing adequate solutions to their needs.

IT Security & Governance

  • Ensure the physical and logical security of the IT system.
  • Perform regular computer audits searching for unauthorized programs, improper setups, or loopholes in security.
  • Provide regular training on IT security and ensure all PMS access passwords are updated and automatic standby modes are activated.
  • Define and update written incident management policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the same position in hotels of a similar category and services.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software.
  • Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing solutions.
  • Good level of English; a second language is desirable.
  • Competencies in Service Orientation, Teamwork, and Proactive pursuit of Excellence.
