Roles and Responsibilities

  • The position is based in Johor and will involve travel within Malaysia.
  • Reporting directly to immediate superior in the overall operations of tug movement across the country.
  • Communicating and liaising directly with tug handlers for daily marine operations with safe marine practice.
  • Compiling vessel weekly and monthly reports.
  • Liaising and communicating with vessel agent related to tug inward and outward clearance.
  • Working closely and liaison with the technical and crewing department to ensure smooth operations.
  • Liaison with SHE-Q team to ensure safe operations & HSE are properly followed by the crew and tugs.
  • To ensure compliance to standard Operating Procedures.
  • Intermediate skill in operating Microsoft Office Software.
  • Maintaining tug's certificates validity and operational record.
  • To attend On/ Off-Hire tug arrangement and acknowledgement of On/ Off-hire certificates with end Client.
  • To attend bunkering activities at the requested supply area.
  • To assist with Purchase Request (PR) instantly without having backlog.
  • To assist in updating Goods Received Notices (GVN) in the Globe 3 system.
  • To attend any other Ad Hoc matters assigned by the HOD.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Malaysia citizen.
  • Diploma in Marine Engineering/ Degree or relevant Operation Marine experience.
  • At least 1 years of relevant experience in the shipping or maritime industry within similar capacity.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal and managerial skills.
  • Experience with MS Office related software.
  • Good verbal and written English.
  • Analytical individual with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Valid Malaysia International Passport for travel without restrictions.
  • Reporting to Head of Department Operation.
  • Possess own vehicle.
