About the Job
We are seeking a highly driven and commercially savvy
Strategic Partnerships Senior Executive (Licensing)
to lead the identification, negotiation, and management of licensing partnership opportunities that enhance our brand portfolio and connect with our target consumers. This role will be responsible for securing intellectual property (IP) partnerships, managing relationships with licensors, ensuring brand alignment, and driving incremental revenue through strategic collaborations.
Key Responsibilities
Licensing Strategy & Development
- Develop, propose and execute the merchandise licensing strategy aligned with overall brand and business objectives through market research as well as analysis.
- Identify and evaluate potential IPs, characters, artists, influencers, and brands for partnership opportunities, with a focus on brands' target consumer groups.
- Conduct market research to assess licensing categories, consumer demand, and competitive landscape.
Partnership Negotiation & Management
- Initiate, negotiate, and finalise licensing agreements, ensuring favorable terms for the business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with licensors, agents, and external partners.
- Ensure all agreements meet brand, legal, and commercial requirements.
Product & Brand Alignment
- Collaborate with design, product development, and marketing teams to ensure licensed merchandise meets brand standards, creative guidelines and operational efficiencies.
- Monitor licensed product development timelines to ensure timely launches.
- Ensure all creative assets and product designs are approved in line with licensor requirements.
Financial & Performance Management
- Manage licensing budget and revenue targets.
- Track sales performance of licensed products and prepare regular reports for the management.
- Analyse performance to optimise future licensing strategies.
Compliance
- Ensure all licensed products comply with brand IP protection guidelines and legal standards.
- Collect, document and provide regular reports including essential marketing and royalty reports to the licensors.
What You Need To Have
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Brand Management, or related field.
- Minimum
5 years
of experience in licensing, brand partnerships, or merchandising (consumer goods, entertainment, fashion, or lifestyle sectors preferred). - Strong negotiation, contract management, and relationship-building skills.
- Great understanding of IP rights and licensing processes.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance creative and business priorities.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
