Job Summary:

The Finance Executive is responsible for managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting, budgeting, and reporting for all event-related projects. This role supports management in maintaining healthy cash flow, cost control, and financial compliance for the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Maintain full sets of accounts and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Handle daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts for event vendors and clients.

2. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Assist in preparing event budgets and monitor expenses against approved budgets.
  • Track project profitability, ensuring costs are within allocated limits.
  • Prepare cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.

3. Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly financial reports, cash flow statements, and management accounts.
  • Support in quarterly and annual financial closings.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor outstanding balances.

4. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including taxation, SST, and other regulatory filings.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and company secretary when required.

5. Administrative Support

  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial records.
  • Support management in financial planning and decision-making for events.

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in finance/accounting; experience in event management or F&B industry is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under tight event timelines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Advantage:

  • Experience in vendor and client billing for events.
  • Familiar with handling petty cash and on-site event expense claims.
  • Knowledge of cost tracking for multiple concurrent projects.
