Location: Shah Alam
Job Summary:
The Finance Executive is responsible for managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate accounting, budgeting, and reporting for all event-related projects. This role supports management in maintaining healthy cash flow, cost control, and financial compliance for the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain full sets of accounts and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
- Handle daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and receipts for event vendors and clients.
2. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Assist in preparing event budgets and monitor expenses against approved budgets.
- Track project profitability, ensuring costs are within allocated limits.
- Prepare cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
3. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly financial reports, cash flow statements, and management accounts.
- Support in quarterly and annual financial closings.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor outstanding balances.
4. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including taxation, SST, and other regulatory filings.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and company secretary when required.
5. Administrative Support
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial records.
- Support management in financial planning and decision-making for events.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in finance/accounting; experience in event management or F&B industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under tight event timelines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Advantage:
- Experience in vendor and client billing for events.
- Familiar with handling petty cash and on-site event expense claims.
- Knowledge of cost tracking for multiple concurrent projects.
